An Accounting Officer II is mainly deployed to various bureaux/departments on performing accounting or related duties such as financial accounting, cost and management accounting, system development, internal audit, investigatory accounting, fund/loan management, etc.

Candidates should -

• (a)
  • (i)have a degree in Accountancy from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or
  • (ii)be a registered student of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Qualification Programme, or equivalent;
• (b)have a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)

• (c)have met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE

Recruitment Examination : Candidates are required to pass a written examination to be held tentatively on 12 November 2017 in Hong Kong before they will be further considered for selection interviews. The written examination is an English essay-type writing paper which aims at assessing candidates’ proficiency in written communication and organisation abilities.

As it takes time to process all applications, an invitation to the written examination does not imply that the candidate’s qualifications meet the entry requirements of the post of Accounting Officer II.
