(a) To handle correspondence and maintain regular communications with Principal Investigators (PI) of approved projects; (b) To monitor the progress and development of approved projects; (c) To arrange evaluation meetings for The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) [See Remarks] Secretariat and/or the Working Group and respective PIs and Co-Investigators of approved projects on the progress and development of the projects; (d) To organise conference for dissemination of research outcomes and briefings for open call of applications; (e) To set up a platform for knowledge management and sharing of research outcomes; (f) To process new applications and arrange vetting of new applications; (g) To report regularly to the supervisors on work progress; and (h) To perform any other duties as and when required by the supervisors. [Remarks : The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) was established in 1996 to advise Government on language education issues in general as well as on the use of the Language Fund.]

(a) (i) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in Chinese Language, English Language, Chinese Language education or English Language education, or equivalent [See Note (i)]; (ii) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution (majoring in Chinese Language or English Language preferred), or equivalent [See Note (i)]; and (iii) At least 5 years' relevant post-degree experience in Chinese or English Language teaching, Chinese or English language or language education research, and project management in relation to curriculum development or language education [See Note (ii)]; OR (i) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution (majoring in Chinese Language or English Language preferred), or equivalent [See Note (i)]; (ii) A Hong Kong Master's Degree in Chinese Language or English Language, Chinese Language education or English Language education, or equivalent [See Note (i)]; and (iii) At least 10 years' relevant experience in Chinese or English Language teaching, Chinese or English language or language education research, and project management in relation to curriculum development or language education [See Note (ii)]; (b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (iii)]; (c) Preference will be given to candidates who have a higher degree in education or language education, good knowledge of the local education system and curriculum, and experience in training and development of teachers, curriculum and resource development, and/or school support in Chinese or English Language teaching; (d) Good computer skills, and/or knowledge and experience in teaching resources development by using multi-media means preferred; (e) Good command of Chinese and English language preferred; and (f) Applicants will be required to attend an interview and a written test.
