A Printing Technician II in the Finishing stream is mainly deployed on supervising subordinates and operating the machines in the print finishing process; maintaining and adjusting the machines for proper operation; performing hand-binding work; and when necessary, moving and loading of printed matters. A Printing Technician II is required to wear uniform, work shifts and, when necessary, perform overtime work. He/she is subject to posting to different bureaux and departments.

Candidates should have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese Language and English Language equivalent to Primary 6 standard and met one of the following:

• (a)completion of an approved and relevant printing apprenticeship; or
• (b)completion of Secondary 3, or equivalent, plus three years' relevant working experience in the printing industry; or
• (c)completion of Primary 6, or equivalent, plus six years' relevant working experience in the printing industry; or
• (d)a Diploma in Vocational Studies in Advertising, Packaging and Printing or a Technician Foundation Certificate in Printing Digital Workflow Production from the Vocational Training Council, or equivalent; plus two years’ relevant working experience in the printing industry.
