To work on shifts as duty stage manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of stage services; to supervise stage artisans and junior staff during fit-up, rehearsals and performances; to liaise with venue users to resolve technical problems.

Note: Appointees are required to work shifts, irregular hours and overnight; work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays; and perform outdoor, typhoon and rainstorm duties.

Applicants should have –

• (a)
  • (i)Advanced Diploma from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent (see Note 2); OR
  • (ii)Diploma from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent, with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a position of production or stage manager in a major performing arts venue or company;
• (b)
  • (i)Level 2 or equivalent (see Note 3) or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; OR;
  • (ii)Level 2 (see Note 4) / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
• (c)Good interpersonal and supervisory skills;
• (d)Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage; and
• (e)Good general computer skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD will be an advantage.
