• (a)To supervise routine inspection, CCTV surveys, and rehabilitation and replacement works; <br>
• (b)To supervise and monitor the progress and workmanship of contractor's works; <br>
• (c)To supervise contractor night gangs in night-time on roster; <br>
• (d)To investigate and handle complaints in day-time and night-time on roster; <br>
• (e)To prepare cost estimates and check measurement of works orders; <br>
• (f)To audit sewer connections; and <br>
• (g)To carry out emergency duties as required. <br>(N.B: Successful candidates may be required to work irregular hours, shift, in remote sites and/or undertake on-call, standby and emergency duties.)

Candidates should have- <br>

• (a)
  • (i)obtained a Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic or the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical college/technical institute, or equivalent; or <br> <br>
  • (ii)completed a Technician Apprenticeship in civil engineering; <br> <br>
• (b)attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent. <br>(N.B.: “Grade C” and “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 and Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth respectively.)
