助理工程督察的主要職責是(a)協助督導房屋委員會轄下地盤的土木工程、土力工程、地基工程和拆卸工程的施工情況；(b)執行高技術水平的工作；以及(c)督導地盤基層員工和承建商的工作。
職責
An Assistant Inspector of Works is mainly deployed on
- (a)assisting the supervision of civil and geotechnical engineering works and foundation and demolition works for sites under the Housing Authority’s purview;
- (b)performing skilled technical work; and
- (c)supervising junior site staff and contractors.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)持有香港一所理工大學／理工學院或香港專業教育學院／科技學院／工業學院所頒發的土木工程學、結構工程學或土力工程學高級證書或高級文憑，或具同等學歷；(b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績[請參閱註(2)]；以及(c)具備5年相關工作經驗，其中3年須為取得資格後的工作經驗。
Candidates should have
- (a)a Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in civil engineering, structural engineering or geotechnical engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic or the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical college/technical institute, or equivalent;
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (2)]; and
- (c)five years’ relevant experience, three of which should be gained post-qualification.
