The Project Manager will lead the team in -
(a) managing the TechConnect Block Vote;
(b) overseeing the operation of TechConnect Unit;
(c) providing professional advice and technical support to the TechConnect Projects Committee;
(d) liaising with Government bureaux/departments and external institutions for embracing technologies in the delivery of public service;
(e) promoting the adoption of technology within the Government; and
(f) performing any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

The candidate should -
(a) have a bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related disciplines from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent and possess at least 15 years of relevant post-qualification working experience from which a minimum of 5 years are in project management at managerial level;
(b) obtain level 2 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (‘HKDSEE’) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (‘HKCEE’), or equivalent (See Note);
(c) possess good organisation, and project planning/project management skills related to technology adoption in the public service; and
(d) be able to handle multiple tasks and work independently, with strong leadership, analytical, coordination and interpersonal skills.

For candidates with a bachelor degree in Engineering, preference will be given to those who have Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (‘HKIE’) in the Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Information Discipline elected after 5 December 1975 or equivalent.
