二級監工主要負責:
- (a)保養和維修懲教設施內的工場機器、洗衣工場設備及鍋爐；
- (b)聯絡、統籌及監督機電工程署人員及服務承辦商負責的機器和設備安裝及保養維修工作；以及
- (c)執行工藝工作；訂購和管理工具及機器組件，以及制訂維修保養工作計劃。
註: 獲聘人士須受《監獄條例》約束，以及須要穿著制服或須執行緊急職務／不定時工作／輪班當值；以及在偏遠地區工作及在部門宿舍居住。
職責
A Works Supervisor II is mainly deployed on:
- (a)maintaining and repairing of workshop machinery, laundry equipment and boilers in correctional facilities;
- (b)liaising, co-ordinating and supervising the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment carried out by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department personnel and service contractors; and
- (c)performing craft work; requisitioning and controlling tools and machine parts; and planning programmes for maintenance work.
Note:
Subject to the provisions of the Prisons Ordinance, the appointee is required to wear uniform and may be required to perform emergency work / work irregular hours / work shifts; and work in remote areas and live in departmental quarters.
入職條件
申請人必須:
- (a)持有香港理工學院／理工大學，或香港專業教育學院／科技學院／工業學院所頒發的機械／電機工程證書，或具備同等學歷；或已完成認可的機械／電機工程技術員學徒訓練；或具備最少五年擔任機械／電機工程技工的工作經驗[入職條件註(1)]；
- (b)具備相當於中三程度的中英文語文能力；
- (c)通過技能測驗[入職條件註(2)]；以及
- (d)在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績[入職條件註(3)]。
Candidates should have:
- (a)a Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent; or successfully completed a recognised Technician Apprenticeship in mechanical / electrical engineering field; or at least 5 years’ experience as a skilled worker in mechanical / electrical engineering field

- (b)attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Secondary 3 standard;
- (c)passed a trade test
