- (a)發展及檢視科學教育學習領領域中生物/物理科、科學科(綜合及組合)及科學科(中一至中三)課程，以及監察及評鑑有關課程的推行情況；
- (b)策劃、籌辦及提供在職教師專業發展課程和實驗室技術員培訓活動，以協助推行科學課程；
- (c)策劃、統籌、製作及推廣有關課程的教學資源和示例，以促進科學課程及跨課程範圍之學與教；
- (d)策劃、籌辦及推行課程支援活動，以及向學校提供關於科學教育的意見，包括整體科學課程的規劃、教學法及學習評估、實驗室安全管理，以及有關實驗設施等事宜；
- (e)聯絡其他政府部門、大專院校及有關機構，協作推行科學教育的工作；
- (f)蒐集科學課程的資料及提供相關的發展項目，包括試行課程模式和教學策略、個案研究及學校探訪等，以促進課程的推行；
- (g)評審教科書及相關的教學資源；
- (h)籌辦和推行與課程有關的活動和項目；以及
- (i)執行與科學教育組日常運作有關的行政職務。

職責
- (a)To develop and review the curriculum for the subjects/courses of Biology/Physics, Science (Integrated and Combined) and Science (S1-3) in the Science Education Key Learning Area, and to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the curricula;
- (b)To plan, organise and conduct in-service professional development programmes for teachers as well as related training courses for laboratory technicians to facilitate the implementation of the curricula;
- (c)To plan, co-ordinate, develop and disseminate the curriculum resources and exemplars to enhance learning and teaching of the curricula and related cross-curricular areas;
- (d)To plan, organise and conduct curriculum support activities to schools and provide advice on matters related to implementation of the curricula (including holistic science curriculum development, pedagogy, assessment, laboratory facilities, laboratory safety and management etc.);
- (e)To liaise and cooperate with other government departments, tertiary institutions and relevant organisations in matters related to science education;
- (f)To conduct research and development projects, such as piloting of new curriculum models, the enhancement of teaching and learning strategies, conducting case studies and school visits to enhance the implementation of the curricula;
- (g)To review textbooks and related resources materials;
- (h)To organize and conduct curriculum-related activities and events; and
- (i)To undertake other administrative duties related to the day-to-day operation of the Section as required.
入職條件
- (a)持有本港頒授主修生物/物理或相關學科的學士學位，以及持有本港專上教育機構所頒授的教育證書，或具備同等學歷[參閱註(ii)]；
- (b)在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷[中文運用及英文運用]中取得「二級」成績[參閱註(iii)及(iv)]；以及
- (c)在取得有關學歷後，具有不少於 6 年與科學教育相關之教學或課程發展的經驗[參閱註(v)]。
- (a)A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in Biology/Physics or a relevant subject, and a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [see Note (ii)];
- (b)'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) [see Notes
- (iii)and (iv)]; and
- (c)at least 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience in science teaching and/or curriculum development [see Note (v)].
入職條件(註)
- (i)課程主任(科學)職位的申請日期為2012年4月27日(星期五)至2012年5月11日(星期五)。
- (ii)申請人須在申請表上清楚註明所修讀學位課程的主修和副修科目。申請人如有其他學歷(例如有關科目碩士或博士學位)，亦須一併在申請表上列明。
- (iii)綜合招聘考試中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績，分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。香港高級程度會考英語運用科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績（或同等成績），則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。在 International English Language Testing System （IELTS）學術模式整體分級取得 6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於 6 的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會視為已符合課程主任(科學)職位的英語能力要求。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2012年4月27日)仍然有效。[參閱上列註(i)]
- (iv)未有取得列於入職條件第(b)項所需的綜合招聘考試成績，但於截止接受申請當天(即2012年5月11日)已符合其他入職條件的人士，亦可提出申請，但有關申請人須已報名參加在2012年6月2日及9日舉行的綜合招聘考試，並於有關試卷中取所需成績，方會獲考慮受聘。
- (v)申請人須述明於取得有關學歷後所具備的相關工作經驗及性質。
- (vi)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有教育局課程主任職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位／專業程度職系)的表現，會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重，但不會影響其申請教育局課程主任職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。
- (vii)申請人須處事盡責、積極主動、對工作有熱誠，並須品格良好，願意為教育界服務，作出承擔，以及能以中英文與人有效溝通。
