職責
(a) 進行實地視察和監督工程、擬備報告和成本預算、備存記錄；(b)進行實地測試和監督各類設備和機器的操作；(c)協助制定和推行保養工程計劃；以及(d)督導初級人員和管理物料。註：可能派往其他政府部門工作；或須在偏遠地區工作，在正常辦公時間以外工作(不定時和／或輪班工作)，以及執行隨時候召、上班候命和緊急職務。
(a) carrying out site inspection and supervision of works, preparing reports and cost estimates of works, and keeping records; (b) conducting site tests and supervising the operation of equipment and plants; (c) assisting in planning and implementation of programmes for maintenance works; and (d) supervising junior staff and managing stores.
Notes: May be posted to other Government departments; and may be required to work in remote areas, outside normal working hours (in irregular hours and/or shifts), and undertake on-call, standby and emergency duties.
入職條件
(a)(i) 持有香港其中一間理工大學／理工學院、香港專業教育學院或工業學院／科技學院頒發的土木工程證書，或具同等學歷[參閱註(1)]；或(ii) 已完成一項認可的土木工程技術員學徒訓練；或(iii) 具備最少五年擔任土木工程熟練工人的經驗；以及(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科成績達第 2 級或以上成績，或具同等學歷 [參閱註(2)]。
(a) (i) obtained a Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or a technical institute/technical college, or equivalent [Note (1)]; or (ii) completed a recognised Technician Apprenticeship in civil engineering; or (iii) at least five years' experience as a skilled worker in civil engineering; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent. 入職條件(註)
(1) 於2012年獲頒發有關證書的應屆畢業生亦可申請。申請人如獲邀參加面試，須於面試時出示最近期之學業成績證明書以作核實。面試預計於本年7月進行。而申請人於獲聘時必須已獲得有關證書。(2) 政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)E級成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年或之後的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級成績。(3)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人如獲邀參加遴選面試，會被安排於面試當日參加基本法筆試。筆試會於面試開始前或結束後舉行。申請人在基本法知識測試的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。
