The Temporary Field Assistant is mainly deployed on (a) assisting in field surveys; (b) providing necessary logistic support; and (c) assisting in investigation, supervisory, technical work and law enforcement duties connected with nature conservation, which may include forestry, animal husbandry and wildlife management work. (Note : May be required to work in any part of Hong Kong; work irregular hours, including nights and weekends; and drive a departmental vehicle)

Candidates should have (a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 (Note 3) / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and (c) at least two years’ post-qualification working experience in nature conservation field work or a disciplined service of the Government.
