職責
A Technical Officer Trainee (Civil) is required to undergo training for a period of three years and is mainly deployed on preparing drawings, charts and diagrams of all types relating to civil engineering work, making simple engineering calculations, undertaking occasional site assignments and working with computer-aided drafting machines.
Note:
May be required to work in remote areas, work irregular hours or shifts.

- (a)
- (i)持有香港理工學院/理工大學或香港專業教育學院/工業學院/科技學院頒發的土木工程證書，或具備同等學歷；或(ii)在香港中學文憑考試數學科考獲第3級或以上成績，以及另有四科註1,2考獲第2 級或同等或以上成績，當中包括物理或組合科學（物理及化學，其中物理部分取得第2 級或以上成績）或組合科學（物理及生物，其中物理部分取得第2 級或以上成績）或綜合科學科，或具同等學歷；或(iii)在香港中學會考數學科考獲C級或以上成績，以及另有四科註2,3 (包括物理科)考獲第2級／E級或以上成績，或具同等學歷；及(b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科達第2等級或以上成績，或具同等成績註3。
Candidates should have
- (a)
- (i)a Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical institute/technical college, or equivalent; or
- (ii)Level 3 or above in Mathematics and Level 2 or equivalent or above in four other subjects Note 1, 2 including Physics or Combined Science (Physics & Chemistry with the Physics component at Level 2 or above) or Combined Science (Physics & Biology with the Physics component at Level 2 or above) or Integrated Science in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or
- (iii)Grade C or above in Mathematics and Level 2 / Grade E or above in four other subjects Note 2, 3 including Physics or Engineering Science in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent Note 3.

- (1)政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標並表現優異」成績，以及其他語言科目C級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績；香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目（最多計算兩科）「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。
- (2)有關科目可包括中國語文科及英國語文科。
- (3)政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)C級及E級的成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年及其後舉行的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3等級和第2等級的成績。)
