職責
技工（打磨／燒焊）主要負責一般金屬打磨/切割、設備維修及燒焊工作。
[註：或須 (i) 執行緊急職務/輪班工作，以及在偏遠地區或惡劣環境下進行戶外工作; (ii) 在水警前線基地及政府船隻上工作；以及 (iii) 須穿着制服和防護衣物。]
An Artisan (Fitter/Welder) will be mainly deployed on general metal fitting/cutting, repairs of equipment and welding work.
[Note :May be required to (i) perform emergency/shift duties and work outdoor in remote areas or during rigorous conditions; (ii) work in Marine Police Forward Bases and on board government vessels; and (iii) will be required to wear uniform and protective clothing.]
入職條件
申請人必須具備以下資歷：
(a)(i)完成以下適用技能的認可學徒訓練或其他認可訓練課程：
(1)打磨;或
(2)打磨及車牀;或
(3)打磨及燒焊;及
(4)切割及燒焊;
或
(ii) 具備最少四年運用上述(a)(i)所提及的適用技能的經驗；
(b)小六畢業或同等學歷；
(c)中、英文語文能力達小六程度；以及
(d)在適當程度的技能測驗取得合格成績。
Candidates should:
(a) (i)have completed an approved apprenticeship or other approved course of training in the following appropriate trades :
(1)Fitting; or
(2)Fitting and Turning; or
(3)Fitting and Welding; and
(4)Cutting and Welding;
or
(ii)have at least four years’ experience in the appropriate trades as mentioned in(a)(i) above;
(b) have completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent;
(c) have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard; and
(d) be able to pass a trade test at the appropriate level.

為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加遴選面試的應徵者，其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評核。除非兩位應徵者的整體表現相若，招聘當局才會參考應徵者在基本法知識測試中的表現。
