職責
Undergoing training for 3 years and testing construction materials (including soil and rock); calculating and compiling test results; and calibrating and checking equipment. Successful candidates appointed may be seconded to other government departments and may be required to work irregular hours and perform outdoor duties.

申請人必須
- (a)
- (i)取得由香港任何一所理工大學/理工學院、香港專業教育學院或工業學院/科技學院頒發的土木工程證書，或同等學歷；或
- (ii)在香港中學文憑考試的物理、化學或數學科的必修部分或延伸部分取得第3等級或以上成績，以及其他四科包括物理及數學的必修部分或延伸部分取得第2等級或以上成績[參閱註(1)]；或在香港中學會考的物理、數學或化學科取得C級或以上的成績，以及其他四科包括物理和數學科取得E級或以上成績，或具備同等學歷[參閱註(2)]；以及
- (b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科取得第2等級或以上成績，或具備同等成績[參閱註(3)]。
Candidates should have
- (a)
- (i)obtained a Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute/technical college, or equivalent; or
- (ii)Level 3 or above in Physics, Chemistry or the Compulsory Part or Extended Part in Mathematics and Level 2 or above in four other subjects including Physics and the Compulsory Part or Extended Part in Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE)Note
- (1)or Grade C or above in Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry and Grade E or above in four other subjects including Physics and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) Note (2), or equivalent; and
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE or equivalent Note (3).

- (4)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。應徵者如獲邀參加遴選面試，會被安排於面試當日參加基本法筆試。筆試會於面試開始前或結束後舉行。應徵者在基本法知識測試的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素。
