• (a)To assist in conducting policy research on issues related to Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (VHIS);
• (b)To assist in the VHIS consultancy studies and in formulating the details of the VHIS;
• (c)To assist in coordinating the implementation of projects/programmes related to the VHIS;
• (d)To arrange logistics for and provide secretariat support to various consultative groups and meetings;
• (e)To liaise with concerned departments and handle public enquiries on matters related to the VHIS;
• (f)To provide administrative support to the Healthcare Planning and Development Office including office refurbishment, equipment procurement and staff recruitment, etc.;
• (g)To coordinate meetings for local and overseas visitors; and
• (h)To perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Candidates should possess –

• (a)a bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
• (b)at least three years full time post-degree working experience of which two years related to administration of health insurance and/or public health policy; preference will be given to candidates who have working experience in the public sector;
• (c)a minimum of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent (Note); and
• (d)good knowledge of issues pertaining to the current health insurance market.
