技工的主要職責為 (a)協助安裝及維修氣象儀器；(b)負責氣象儀器之日常維修；(c)設計及執行金工、木工或工藝工作；(d)協助執行在分站或戶外的工作；及(e)負責清潔工場及維修工具。
註：
技工或須在正常辦公時間以外當值
職責
An Artisan is mainly deployed on :(a)assisting to install and repair of meteorological instruments; (b)day-to-day maintenance of meteorological instruments; (c)designing and performing metalwork, woodwork and craftwork; (d)assisting to perform duties in sub-stations or outdoor duties; and (e)cleaning of workshop and maintenance of the tools.
Note:
May be required to work outside normal office hours.

申請人必須
- (a)
- (i)已完成電機工程、機械工程、木工或相關科目的認可學徒訓練或其他認可訓練課程；或 (ii)有至少三年電機工程、機械工程、木工或相關行業的工作經驗；及(b)中英語文能力達小學六年級程度；及(c)在適當程度的技能測驗取得合格成績。
Candidates should
- (a)
- (i)have completed an approved apprenticeship or other approved course of training in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, carpenter or any other relevant subjects; or
- (ii)have at least three years’ working experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, carpenter or any other relevant trades; and
- (b)have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard; and
- (c)be able to pass a trade test at the appropriate level.
