A Field Officer II (Livestock) is mainly deployed to perform duties relating to livestock production and wildlife conservation work; carry out health and husbandry surveys; and undertake related regulatory duties and extension work. <br> <br>(Note: May be required to work in any part of Hong Kong; live in departmental quarters in the New Territories; work shifts, carry out stand-by duties and stay overnight away from their base; drive a departmental vehicle; and wear uniform, if on regulatory work.)

Candidates should have <br>

• (a)
  • (i)a diploma or higher certificate in natural or applied science or a related subject from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical institute/technical college, or equivalent; or
  • (ii)a recognised diploma from an agricultural or forestry school/college, or equivalent, and one year’s practical experience in farming or countryside/flora/wildlife management; and <br>
• (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent (Note 1).
