• (a)To undertake public policy research and analysis, including drafting of study briefs, collection and analysis of data and information, policy evaluation and report write-up;
• (b)To lead and supervise policy research projects;
• (c)To maintain liaison with the policy research community, including the academia and think tanks;
• (d)To engage in effective stakeholder management;
• (e)To plan and conduct public engagement exercises, including focus groups, seminars and public meetings; and
• (f)To provide secretariat support for relevant committees, working groups and panels.

Candidate should have:

• (a)a postgraduate degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
• (b)proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note];
• (c)at least 5 years of full-time work experience in academic, regional, economic, or commercial research, public policy or public affairs after obtaining a bachelor’s or higher degree, and therein not less than 2 years leading large-scale and complex public policy research projects in government, tertiary institutions, think tanks, media industry, political parties, regional/international organisations, consultancy firms or commercial entities;
• (d)proficiency in conducting research projects within a team and independently;
• (e)ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and consistently deliver high-quality output within demanding time constraints;
• (f)good interpersonal and presentation skills; and
• (g)good knowledge in computer applications and proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage.
