職責
牙科手術助理員的主要職責為－
(a) 在牙科診所協助牙醫治理病人；及
(b) 在牙科診所內負責消毒及供應牙科物料，並執行其他有關職務。
(備註：受聘人在工作時須穿着制服並可能須在正常辦公時間以外工作。)

A Dental Surgery Assistant is mainly deployed on –
(a) assisting the Dental Officers in the dental clinics in the treatment of patients; and
(b) sterilising and supplying dental materials and undertaking other related duties in the dental clinics.
(Remarks: Appointee is required to wear uniform whilst on duty and may be required to work outside normal working hours.)

入職條件
申請人必須－
(a) (i) 在香港中學文憑考試五科考獲第2級或同等[見註(1)]或以上成績[見註(2)]，或具同等學歷；或
(ii) 在香港中學會考五科考獲第2級[見註(3)]／E級或以上成績[見註(2)]，或具同等學歷；及
(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級[見註(3)]或以上成績，或具同等成績；並能操流利粵語。

(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent [See Note (1)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [See Note (2)], or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 [See Note (3)]/Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [See Note (2)], or equivalent; and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [See Note (3)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese.

入職條件(註)
(1) 政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。
(2) 有關科目可包括中國語文科及英國語文科。
(3) 政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) E級成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級成績。
(4) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。
(5) 申請人如持有或於2021年取得由香港菲臘牙科醫院頒發的「牙科手術助理員證書」或「牙科手術助理員文憑」，或已通過由衞生署或前醫務衞生署舉辦的「牙科手術助理員試用考試」，或具備同等資歷，會獲優先考慮。
(6) 申請人須遞交有關文件的副本以證明其(i)學歷；(ii)語文能力；及(iii)牙科手術助理員的資格(如適用)。
