A Farm Management Supervisor is mainly deployed on (a) supervising and conducting field studies and surveys related to local farmland and crop farms; (b) providing technical support to crop farmers on rehabilitation; (c) planning and implementing farm inspections and field surveys to crop farms; (d) handling enquiries, complaints and carrying out investigations and follow-up actions on irrigation issues at local crop farms; (e) assisting in the management and operation of relevant agricultural facilities and liaising on related matters; (f) organizing farming-related activities such as educational, interactive and experiential activities for the public and visitors; (g) submitting reports on the field information and data collected; and (h) performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

A qualified candidate should have (a) a Bachelor’s degree in Applied or Natural Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Geography, Statistics or a related subject from a Hong Kong University, or equivalent, and at least three years’ full-time relevant work experience; or (b) a diploma or higher certificate in Applied or Natural Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Geography, Statistics or a related subject from a Hong Kong Polytechnic/Polytechnic University or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical institute/technical college, or equivalent, and at least six years’ full-time relevant work experience; and (c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
