- (1)助理電氣督察主要負責安裝、操作、維修及保養電氣及／或有關電子系統控制線路及裝置設備或進行樓宇的電氣工程；提供設計、採購、工程管理及技術顧問服務；執行法例及提供規管和諮詢服務；以及監督承辦商及下屬的工作。
- (2)獲取錄的申請人，可能會獲調派至其他部門工作，以及可能須要: (a)不定時／在偏遠地區／在惡劣環境下工作；(b)執行輪班／上班候命／隨時候召／緊急工作；(c)穿著制服／保護衣物；及(d)執行其他不時指定的職務。獲取錄的申請人亦可能要以自願性質執行自行駕車到工作地點的職務（如有需要，部門會提供有關訓練）。
職責
- (1)Assistant Electrical Inspectors are mainly deployed on installation, operation, repair and maintenance of electrical and/or the associated electronic control systems and plant equipment or electrical engineering services in buildings; design, procurement, project management and technical consultancy services; law enforcement, regulatory services and advisory services; and supervision of contractors and subordinates.
- (2)Successful candidates may be posted to other departments and may be required:
- (a)to work irregular hours / in remote area / in harsh condition;
- (b)to perform shift duty / stand-by duty / on-call duty / emergency duty;
- (c)to wear uniform / protective clothing; and
- (d)to perform any other duties as specified from time to time. Successful candidates may also be required to perform self-drive duty (training will be provided where necessary) on a voluntary basis.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)具備香港理工學院／理工大學或香港專業教育學院／工業學院／科技學院所頒發的電機工程文憑或高級證書，或同等學歷；
- (b)
- (i)曾接受兩年有關實務訓練，並於取得上述資格後具有不少於三年相關工作經驗；或(ii)完成認可的學徒訓練，並於取得上述資格後具有最少三年相關工作經驗；(c)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績

(d)在《基本法》測試取得及格成績
[註(2)] 。申請人如(i)具備操作及維修保養電機工程系統的相關工作經驗；(ii)持有H級電業工程人員註冊證明書；以及(iii)已接受認可的安全健康督導員訓練，會獲優先考慮。
Candidates should have
- (a)a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical institute/technical college, or equivalent;
- (b)
- (i)two years’ relevant practical training and not less than three years’ relevant post-qualification experience; or
- (ii)completed an approved apprenticeship plus at least three years’ relevant post-qualification experience;
- (c)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent

- (d)attained a pass result in the Basic Law Test

- (i)relevant operation and maintenance experience in electrical engineering systems;
- (ii)possessed Certificates of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade H; and
- (iii)acquired a recognized safety and health supervisor training.
入職條件(註)
- (1)政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
- (2)政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。在《基本法》測試取得及格成績，是學歷要求定於完成中學階段程度或以上但低於學位／ 專業程度的公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在滿分100 分中取得53 分或以上（即在15 題中答對8 題或以上），會被視為取得《基本法》測試的及格成績。此外，申請人在《基本法》測試的成績會佔其整體表現評分的一個適當比重。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法》測試或未曾在《基本法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法》測試。
