Technical Officer (Civil)
總薪級表第9點(每月22,725元)至總薪級表第22點(每月44,555元)。
職責
技術主任(土木)主要負責 (i) 擬備土木工程圖則,計算及設計小規模土木工程;(ii) 進行與工程測量有關的測繪工作,執行有關水塘安全的技術工作;及 (iii) 協助擬備簡單的電腦程式及執行簡單電腦操作。

A Technical Officer (Civil) is mainly deployed on (i) preparing civil engineering drawings, making calculations and designs for minor civil engineering works; (ii) plotting related to engineering surveys, technical duties in connection with reservoir safety; and (iii) assisting in preparation of simple computer programmes and undertaking simple computer operation.

入職條件
申請人必須 (a) 持有香港理工學院/理工大學或香港專業教育學院/工業學院/科技學院頒發的土木工程文憑或高級證書,或具備同等學歷;(b) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科達第2等級或以上成績,或具同等成績 [註(1),(2)];及 (c) 在《基本法》測試取得及格成績 [註(3),(4)]。
註 (1) 政府在聘任公務員時,2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科 (課程乙) C級及E級的成績,在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年及其後舉行的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3等級和第2等級的成績。(2) 申請人所有學歷以截止申請日期或之前為準,截止申請日期後所獲得的學歷將不獲考慮。(3) 政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。在《基本法》測試取得及格成績,是學歷要求定於完成中學階段程度或以上但低於學位/專業程度的公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在滿分100分中取得53分或以上 (即在15題中答對8題或以上),會被視為取得《基本法》測試的及格成績。此外,申請人在《基本法》測試的成績會佔其整體表現評分的一個適當比重。(4) 如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法》測試或未曾在《基本法》測試考獲及格成績,仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法》測試。

Candidates should have (a) a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical institute / technical college, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Note (1),(2)]; and (c) a pass result in the Basic Law Test (BLT) [Note (3),(4)].
Note (1) For civil service appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (2) All qualifications required should be obtained on or before the application deadline. Qualifications obtained after the application deadline will not be considered. (3) All applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their Basic Law knowledge. A pass result in the BLT is an entry requirement for civil service jobs requiring non-degree / non-professional qualifications at or above completion of secondary education level. Only those candidates who have passed the BLT will be considered for appointment. Attaining a score at or above 53 out of the full mark of 100 (i.e. getting at least 8 out of 15 questions correct) will be deemed to have a pass result in the BLT. The BLT result will also constitute an appropriate weighting in a candidate's overall assessment. (4) For candidates who have not taken the BLT or have not attained a pass result in the BLT at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the BLT during the recruitment process.
