(a) training, instructing and supervising prisoners or inmates in correctional institutions engaging in pre-press work (including image preparation, plate making, page making, proofreading, colour and ink management), printing work (including operation of off-set printing machine or desktop printing machine), post-press work (including operation of guillotine, binding & full binding); (b) performing quality assurance, machines and equipment operation and maintenance; (c) enforcing the Code of Practice of Occupational Health & Safety and related regulations; (d) performing any other duties assigned. (Note: Subject to the provisions of the Prison Ordinance and may be required to wear uniform, work shifts and live in departmental quarters.)

(a) have completed an apprenticeship or institutional training in printing industries; or be able to furnish evidence that they have had at least 5 years' experience in printing production [Note 1 under Entry Requirements]; (b) have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Form 3 standard; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English; and (c) undergo and pass aptitude test and trade test in printing [Note 2 under Entry Requirements].
