職責
助理教育主任主要負責以下職務:
(a)在官立中學授課;
(b)擔任班主任;
(c)籌辦及推行課外活動;
(d)評核及記錄學生成績;以及
(e)統籌/執行校內多樣化的專業職務,包括協助處理校內的特別職務、行政工作及非教學職務,例如編訂學校課程、推行公民教育/德育/性教育、處理學校訓育工作、提供學生輔導和升學及就業輔導,以及協助舉行校內/公開考試等。
獲取錄的申請人或須任教由教育局安排的任何科目。
申請人必須具責任感、積極進取和熱心工作;品格良好、為人正直;有志於教育服務;以及能以中、英文有效溝通。
(a)在官立中學授課;

Assistant Education Officers are mainly deployed on the following types of duties –
(a) to undertake teaching duties in a government secondary school;
(b) to be a Class Master/Mistress;
(c) to organise and conduct extra-curricular activities;
(d) to assess and to record students' attainment; and
(e) to co-ordinate/undertake diversified professional duties, including assisting in the performance of special responsibilities, administrative work and non-teaching duties of the school, such as school curriculum development, civil/moral/sex education, school discipline, student counseling, career guidance, school/public examinations, etc.
A successful candidate may be required to teach any subjects assigned by the Education Bureau.
Candidates should be responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic; have a fine character and integrity; be committed to serve in the education field; and be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English.

(a)(i)持有香港頒授主修英國語文的教育學士學位,或具備同等學歷;或
(a)(ii)持持有香港頒授主修英國語文的學士學位,或具備同等學歷,以及由香港專上教育機構頒授主修英國語文的教育證書,或具備同等學歷;
(b)在教師語文能力評核的英文科評核中成績達到「三級」或以上,或已獲教育局豁免符合該項語文能力要求;以及
(c)符合語文能力要求,即在綜合招聘考試兩份語文試卷(中文運用及英文運用)中取得「二級」成績,或具備同等成績。[參閱註(c)至(e)]
上述入職條件適用於在二零零四/零五學年或其後聘任的英國語文科教師。如申請人只持有香港頒授主修英國語文的學士學位,或具備同等學歷,但未持有由香港專上教育機構頒授主修英國語文的教育證書,或具備同等學歷,仍可應徵,但他們必須在受聘後三年內完成有關的師資培訓。如申請人是在二零零四/零五學年前已在本地公營學校或提供全面課程的私立日間中學任教的現職英文科常額教師,則須持有香港頒授主修英國語文的學士學位,或具備同等學歷,並須在綜合招聘考試及教師語文能力評核取得所需成績。未能憑學歷獲豁免教師語文能力要求的申請人,如在除課堂語言運用以外的各項核心語文技巧(即閱讀、寫作、聆聽及口語)已達到基本語文能力要求,亦可應徵該科目。不過,他們須在受聘後一年內,在課堂語言運用方面達到有關的要求。
尚未符合上文入職條件,而預計可於二零二二年夏季或之前取得下列學歷或成績以符合上述入職條件者亦可應徵 –
(1)主修相關學科的學士/碩士學位,或同等學歷;或
(2)在綜合招聘考試兩份語文試卷中取得「二級」成績,或同等成績;或
(3)由香港專上教育機構頒授的學位教師教育證書,或同等學歷。
申請人必須在教育局訂定的限期前提交相關文件,例如證明信函、證書及成績單等,以證明其在上述期間取得所需學歷或資格以及符合入職條件,否則將不再受理其申請。申請人應在申請書上清楚註明將會獲取的相關學歷或資格以及預計日期,以利辦理。

Candidates should have -
(a)(i) a Hong Kong Bachelor of Education degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent; or
(a)(ii) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent, and a certificate in education majoring in English Language from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent;
(b) attained 'Level 3' proficiency or above in English Language in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (LPAT) or have been exempted from the said language proficiency requirement by the Education Bureau; and
(c) met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent. [See Notes (c) to (e)]
The entry requirement set out above is applicable to English Language teachers recruited in or after the 2004/05 school year. Such candidates who hold a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent, but do not have a certificate in education majoring in English Language from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent, may also apply. However, they will have to attain the required teacher training within three years from the date of appointment. For serving English Language teachers holding a permanent post in local public sector and private secondary day schools which offer a full curriculum before the 2004/05 school year, they should have a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent, and possess the requisite results in CRE and LPAT. Applicants who have not been exempted from the LPAT by way of qualification but have met, with the exception of classroom language, the basic language proficiency requirement in all the core language skills (i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking) of the LPAT may also apply. However, they have to attain the language proficiency requirement on Classroom Language Assessment of the LPAT within one year from the date of appointment.
Potential applicants may also apply if they do not meet the entry requirements set out above but are expected to obtain the following qualifications to meet the aforementioned entry requirements no later than the summer of 2022 –
(1) a bachelor's/master's degree majoring in the relevant subject discipline, or equivalent; or
(2) 'Level 2' results in the two language papers in CRE, or equivalent; or
(3) a postgraduate certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent.
These applicants are required to provide documentary evidence such as letters, certificates and transcripts to prove that they have obtained the requisite qualifications and met the entry requirements in the aforementioned period by the deadline to be determined by the Education Bureau. Applicants who fail to provide the necessary evidence as required will not be considered further. To facilitate processing, they should clearly state the expected date of obtaining the said qualifications in the application form.
(a)(i) a Hong Kong Bachelor of Education degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent; or
(a)(ii) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in English Language, or equivalent, and a certificate in education majoring in English Language from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent;

(d)香港中學文憑考試中國語文科「第5級」或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上的成績會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科「第5級」或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考英語運用科或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科「C」級或以上成績則會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。
(e)在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上,並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士,在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內,會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。有關考試成績必須在職位接受申請期內任何一日均為有效。
(f)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣,政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。
(g)不論以何方法遞交申請,申請人務須注意及遵從(如適用)下列各項:

(g)(iii)申請人如持有由香港以外學術機構所頒授的學歷,須提供有關學術機構所簽發的文憑/證書、成績單及列明有關課程的授課形式(例如全日制/兼讀制、在當地院校上課/遙距授課等)的證明文件副本。若申請人亦同時持有本地學歷,則亦需提供相關證明文件副本。申請人應提供所有可支持其申請的相關文件,以利評審該等學歷。持有本地學歷的申請人,須夾附列明其修讀學位課程及/或師資培訓課程時主修及副修科目的證明文件副本。
(h)若申請書並非以指定的申請表格(即職位申請書[G.F. 340 (3/2013 修訂版)])提交、以傳真或電郵提交、逾期提交或沒有夾附充足證明文件的申請,將不獲處理。
(i)申請人如獲邀參加面試,會在二零二一年十二月底前接獲通知。申請人如不獲邀參加面試,可視作落選論。
(j) 已參加資助或官立學校教師提早退休計劃者,其應徵助理教育主任職位的申請將不獲處理。
