見習測量主任（工料）主要接受3年在職培訓，包括修讀課程及協助執行下列職務：
- (a)量度工料數量；
- (b)為招標工作制訂合約文件，並安排簽立合約；
- (c)實地及／或根據圖則量度已完成工程；
- (d)制訂工程費用預算；以及

職責
A Survey Officer Trainee (Quantity) is mainly deployed on undergoing a 3-year on-the-job training which would involve attending courses and on assisting in -
- (a)taking-off quantities;
- (b)the preparation of contract documents for tender action and arrangement for execution of contract;
- (c)measuring up completed works on site and/or from drawings;
- (d)the preparation of project estimates; and
- (e)processing data by applying quantity surveying computer software. [See Note (F)]
入職條件
申請人必須：
- (a)
- (i)取得香港理工大學／理工學院、香港專業教育學院或工業學院／科技學院頒發的工料測量或建築學證書，或具備同等學歷；或
- (a)
- (ii)在香港中學文憑考試數學科考獲第3級或以上成績，以及另外4科(包括物理或組合科學(生物、物理)或組合科學(化學、物理)或綜合科學)考獲第2級或以上成績，或具備同等學歷
(註：可包括中國語文科和英國語文科。)；或香港中學會考數學科考獲C級或以上成績，以及另外4科(包括物理科)考獲第2級／E級或以上成績，或具備同等學歷 (註：可包括中國語文科和英國語文科。)； (b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具備同等成績[請參閱註(A)至(D)]；及 (c) 在《基本法》測試取得及格成績[請參閱註(E)]。
Candidates should have –
- (a)
- (i)obtained a Certificate in Quantity Surveying or Building Studies from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/ polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or a technical institute/ technical college, or equivalent; or
- (a)
- (ii)Level 3 or above in Mathematics and Level 2 or above in four other subjects including Physics or Combined Science (Biology & Physics) or Combined Science (Chemistry & Physics) or Integrated Science in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent
(Note: The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.); or Grade C or above in Mathematics and Level 2/Grade E or above in four other subjects including Physics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note: The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.); (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Notes (A) to (D)]; and (c) a pass result in the Basic Law test [See Note (E)].
入職條件(註)
- (A)如申請人在截止申請日期或之前已符合測量主任（工料）職位的入職條件，見習測量主任（工料）職位的申請將不獲考慮。
- (B)政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標並表現優異」成績，以及其他語言科目C級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績；香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。
- (C)政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)E級成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級成績。
- (D)申請人須在本職位截止申請日期或之前獲取上述的(a)及(b)項入職條件。
- (E)政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。在《基本法》測試取得及格成績，是學歷要求定於完成中學階段程度或以上但低於學位／ 專業程度的公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在滿分100分中取得53分或以上（即在15題中答對8題或以上），會被視為取得《基本法》測試的及格成績。此外，申請人在《基本法》測試的成績會佔其整體表現評分的一個適當比重。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法》測試或未曾在《基本法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法》測試。
- (F)受聘人或會調派於決策局或其他政府部門工作。
