職責
高級技工（打磨）主要負責在香港各警察無線電工場，監督和指導一組技工進行各類金屬／無線電設備的裝置／維修工程。或須撰寫簡單報告和擬備報表。

A Senior Artisan (Fitter) is mainly deployed to supervise and direct a team of Artisans to carry out all types of metal/radio installation/repair works in Police Radio Workshops anywhere in Hong Kong. May be required to write simple reports and to prepare returns.
(Note: i) Required to work at height including on aerial tower/mast; and ii) may be required to work irregular hours.)

申請人必須：
(a) 修畢小六，或具備同等教育程度；
(b) (i) 具備六年從事機械工程的工作經驗，包括進行無線電、電力或金屬工程，或具同等工作經驗；或
(ii) 順利完成機械工程的正式學徒訓練或其他認可實習訓練課程(內容包括無線電、電力或金屬工程)，或具同等資歷，並在完成學徒訓練／其他訓練後具備兩年有關行業的工作經驗；
(c) 具備操作鑽床、銑床、車床和雕刻機的經驗；
(d) 具備督導和統籌初級員工日常工作的經驗和才能；
(e) 能以粵語／中文和簡單英文溝通，閱讀簡單中文和簡單英文以及書寫簡單中文或簡單英文。

Candidates should –
(a) have completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent;
(b) (i) have 6 years’ working experience in Mechanical Engineering including radio,
electrical or metal works, or equivalent; or
(ii) have successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship or other approved course of practical training in Mechanical Engineering including radio, electrical or metal works, or equivalent, plus 2 years’ post-apprenticeship/training experience in the trade;
(c) have experience in operating drilling, milling, lathe and engraving machinery;
(d) have experience and ability to supervise and organise the day-to-day work of junior staff;
(e) be able to communicate in Cantonese/ Chinese and simple English; be able to read simple Chinese and simple English; and write simple Chinese or simple English.

(2) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在《基本法》測試中的表現。
