train, instruct and supervise prisoners or detainees in correctional institutions engaged in precast concrete production, including but not limited to concrete mixing, casting, finishing, testing, packaging, quality assurance; perform duties including material estimation, production planning and scheduling, quality and work process control, machines and equipment operation and their general maintenance; enforce the code of practice of occupational health & safety and related regulations; and perform any other duties as directed. (Note: Subject to the provisions of the Prisons Ordinance and is required to wear uniform and may be required to work shifts and live in departmental quarters.)

(a) Completed an apprenticeship or institutional training [General Note (a)] in precast concrete trade; or be able to furnish evidence that they have had at least 5 years' working experience in precast concrete production [Note (i)]; (b) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Form 3 standard; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English; and (c) required to undergo and pass a trade test [Note (ii)].
