An Assistant Lecturer (Commercial Studies) is mainly deployed on

• (a)giving lectures to persons in custody on related vocational subjects in the correctional institutions;
• (b)planning, developing, updating and preparing training course/curriculum/multimedia training materials;
• (c)assisting in procurement of training materials, tools and equipment;
• (d)supervising instructors/trainers engaged in vocational training; and
• (e)preparing estimates and compiling training/examination statistics. <br>(Note: The appointee will be subject to the provisions of the Prisons Ordinance.)

Candidates should

• (a)have a Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic institute, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical college/technical institute, or equivalent in computing studies, business studies, executive secretarial studies, or information technology, or equivalent;
• (b)have five years' relevant post-qualification experience

• (c)have met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
