職責
司法書記主要負責以下工作 –
(a) 擔任書記，在終審法院法官／司法常務官、高等法院上訴法庭法官、高等法院原訟法庭法官、區域法院法官或聆案官於法庭或內庭聆訊案件時提供所需服務（包括提訊被告、抽選陪審團及錄取裁決等）；保存準確紀錄；檢查及編定證物，安排將證物保管；處理及批核由律師擬定的命令草擬；以及
(b) 在土地審裁處、小額錢債審裁處、書記主任辦事處、高等法院登記處、遺產承辦處、區域法院登記處及家事法庭登記處擔任司法書記。

A Judicial Clerk is mainly deployed on –
(a) serving as Clerk to a Judge/Registrar of the Court of Final Appeal, a Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the High Court, a Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court, a Judge of the District Court or a Master; attending and assisting in court or chambers hearings as appropriate (including arraignment of the accused, empanelling jury and taking verdict); maintaining accurate records; checking and marking exhibits and arranging for their custody; settling and approving draft orders drawn up by legal practitioners; and
(b) serving as Judicial Clerk in Lands Tribunal, Small Claims Tribunal, Clerk of Court’s Office, High Court Registry, Probate Registry, District Court Registry and Family Court Registry.

入職條件
申請人必須 –
(a) (i) 在香港中學文憑考試五科考獲第3級或同等（註1）或以上成績（註2），或具同等學歷；或
(ii) 在香港高級程度會考兩科高級程度科目考獲E級或以上成績，及在香港中學會考另外三科考獲第3級（註3）／C級或以上成績（註2），或具備同等學歷；
(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第3級（註3）或以上成績，或具同等成績；及
(c) 在《基本法》測試取得及格成績（註4）。
（註：申請人所有資歷以截止申請日期或之前為準，於截止申請日期後所獲得的資歷將不獲考慮。申請人須參加暫訂於2021年11月舉行的筆試。申請人如獲邀參加筆試，通常會在截止申請日期後四至六個星期內接獲通知。由於筆試邀請將會以電郵方式寄出，申請人須於申請表格上提供正確的電郵地址，並有責任查閱其電郵以確保邀請妥為收悉。申請人如未獲邀參加筆試或其後的遴選面試，則可視作經已落選。）

Candidates should have –

(ii) Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 (Note 3) / Grade C or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and
(c) a pass result in the Basic Law Test (Note 4).
(Remarks: All qualifications required should be obtained on or before the application deadline. Qualifications obtained after the application deadline will not be considered. Candidates are required to sit for a written examination to be held in November 2021 tentatively. Candidates who are selected for written examination will normally receive an invitation in about four to six weeks from the application deadline. As invitations will be sent to candidates by email, candidates should provide an accurate email address in their applications. Candidates are responsible for checking their emails to ensure that invitation will be duly received. Those who are not invited for written examination or subsequent selection interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.)
