- (a)就懲教設施進行的建築及保養工程提供技術性意見；
- (b)督導及訓練囚犯/覊留者進行建築及保養工程；
- (c)確保所有安全措施符合規定的標準及囚犯/覊留者完全明白這些措施；
- (d)妥善管理所有工具、設備及工程物料；
- (e)執行職安健守則及相關規例；以及
- (f)執行其他指派職務。

Instructor (Construction and Maintenance)
一般紀律人員(員佐級)薪級表第3點(每月15,240元)至一般紀律人員(員佐級)薪級表第20點(每月25,735元)。
職責
- (a)To give technical advice on matters relating to construction and maintenance works carried out in correctional facilities;
- (b)to supervise and train prisoners/inmates in construction and maintenance works;
- (c)to ensure that all safety measures are up to the required standard and that prisoners/inmates fully understand such measures;
- (d)to maintain proper control of all tools, equipment and works materials;
- (e)to enforce the Code of Practice of Occupational Health & Safety and related regulations; and
- (f)to perform any other duties assigned.
入職條件
- (a)完成建築及保養的學徒訓練或院校訓練課程[參閱註(1)]，或能出示證明，顯示在建築及保養方面具備至少五年工作經驗；(b)中、英文語文能力相當於中三程度；及能操流利粵語及簡單英語；以及(c)須接受及通過建築及保養的技能測驗。[參閱註(2)]
- (a)have completed an apprenticeship or institutional training in construction and maintenance
Note 1] ; or be able to furnish evidence that they have at least 5 years' experience in construction and maintenance;
- (b)have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Form 3 standard; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English; and
- (c)undergo and pass a trade test in construction and maintenance

- 1.申請人須在申請表格內清楚列明相關的工作經驗。
- 2.如果符合訂明入職條件的申請人人數眾多，招聘部門可以訂立篩選準則，甄選條件較佳的申請人，以便進一步處理。在此情況下，只有獲篩選的申請人會獲邀參加技能測驗，而只有通過技能測驗、能力傾向測驗及其後的遴選面試的申請人才會獲考慮聘任。
- 3.為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加遴選面試的應徵者，其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評核。除非兩位應徵者的整體表現相若，招聘當局才會參考應徵者在基本法知識測試中的表現。
