Mainly deployed on carrying out aircraft maintenance, related support activities and general duties to ensure the proper operation of aircraft and engineering facilities. He/She will be subject to discipline and will be required to work shifts and wear uniform.

Candidates should:

• (a)
  • (i)have a Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, or Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering issued by a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university, or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical college/technical institute, or equivalent, or
  • (ii)have completed an approved technician apprenticeship or equivalent in Airframe/Engine, and
• (b)possess the required knowledge in the following trade: Airframe/Engine • have a good basic knowledge of aeroplane and helicopter theory of flight and construction, jet and piston engine theory of operation with practical experience an advantage; and
• (c)have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; and be able to communicate in Chinese.
