工藝教導員（金工）主要負責(a)監管懲教設施內的在囚人士，以及訓練、指導他們從事金屬製品生產；(b)監督各項工作流程，包括金屬剪裁、切割、焊接、鑽孔、打磨、塗漆、測試及包裝、物料預算、生產計劃及排程、品質及施工控制、生產機器設備操作及保養；(c)協助工藝導師擬備職業訓練教材及教授有關課程；(d)執行職業安全與健康守則及相關規例；以及(e)執行其他指派職務。 註: 獲聘人士須受《監獄條例》約束，以及須要穿著制服或須輪班當值，或在偏遠地區工作及在部門宿舍居住。

Instructor (Metal Work)
紀律人員（員佐級）薪級表第4點（每月25,265元）至紀律人員（員佐級）薪級表第22點（每月43,720元）。
職責
An Instructor (Metal Work) is mainly deployed on
- (a)supervising persons in custody in correctional facilities, and training and instructing those engaging in metal work production;
- (b)overseeing work processes including metal guillotining, cutting, welding, boring, grinding, painting, testing and packaging, material estimation, production planning and scheduling, quality assurance, machines and equipment operation and maintenance;
- (c)assisting Technical Instructor in preparing vocational training materials and teaching related classes;
- (d)enforcing the Code of Practice of Occupational Safety & Health and related regulations; and
- (e)performing any other duties as assigned.
Note:
Subject to the provisions of the Prisons Ordinance; the appointee may be required to wear uniform, work shifts, work in remote areas and live in departmental quarters.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)完成有關金工行業的學徒訓練或院校訓練課程；或能出示證明，顯示在金工行業方面具備至少五年工作經驗[參閱入職條件註(1)]；(b)具備相當於中三程度的中、英文語文能力，並能操流利粵語及簡單英語；(c)接受並通過金工技能測驗[參閱入職條件註(2)]；及(d)在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績[參閱入職條件註(3)]。
Candidates should
- (a)have completed an apprenticeship or institutional training in metal work industry; or be able to furnish evidence that they have had at least 5 years’ working experience in metal work production
Note 1 under Entry Requirements] ;
- (b)have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Secondary 3 standard; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English;
- (c)undergo and pass a trade test in metal work

- (d)have a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test

入職條件(註)
- (1)申請人須在申請書內清楚列明其相關的工作經驗。
- (2)只有通過金工技能測驗及其後的遴選面試的申請人才會獲考慮聘任。
- (3)政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》及《香港國安法》知識。在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績是所有公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法及香港國安法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法及香港國安法》測試或未曾在《基本法及香港國安法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
