Mainly deployed on clinical and non-clinical duties in the following programme areas:

• (a)statutory functions;
• (b)disease prevention;
• (c)health promotion;
• (d)curative care; and
• (e)rehabilitation.

(Remarks: Selected candidates may be required to work shifts outside normal working hours and perform on-call duties.)

Candidates should have

• (a)a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance, Cap. 161; and
• (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 or above results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (See Notes (4)&(5)); and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.

(Remarks: Applicants without the requisite CRE results, or equivalent, but who have met the other entry requirements may also apply. However, they will only be considered for appointment subject to their obtaining the requisite results in the coming CRE to be held in June 2016. They should indicate in Section I (Public Examination Results) under “Academic Attainment” in Page 2 of their application forms

• (ii)the papers to be attempted by them in the said CRE.)
